Will Reed - Chair
Will received a B.A. in marketing from the University of Phoenix and 
has two Associate Degrees from San Jose State University. He is currently working on his Masters in Divinity. He has been on the SBHCC Board for 3 years. He works for the County of Santa Barbara in the Housing and Community Development Department, referees high school and youth football and basketball, and is father of one.

Aaron Mendoza - Vice Chair
Aaron Mendoza, Board Secretary, is a native of Santa Barbara. He is married to the former Sylvia Corral. Aaron and Sylvia have two children. After several successful years of serving the life insurance needs of his community, Aaron has taken a man
agement position with New York Life. As a partner with New York Life, Aaron is responsible for the recruiting and retention of the sales force for the Central Coast area (Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo). He hopes to teach others to bring the same level of commitment to the community as he did when he worked as an agent. Aaron feels that the needs of the Latino community can best be served by recruiting individuals who are sensitive to the cultural uniqueness of Latinos. Aaron is also committed to serving his community as a volunteer. In addition to his service to this board, he is a member of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), he has volunteered extensively with CALM (Child Abuse Listening & Mediation) as well as being a participant in the annual Cancer Awareness Walk. Aaron teaches kickboxing and enjoys traveling.
Sergio Villa - Vice Chair
Sergio Villa 
serves as a Financial Consultant for Pacific Capital Financial Services with SBBT. He is responsible for designing customized investment solutions for clients in the northern Santa Barbara and Goleta Markets. Sergio is a South Central Los Angeles native and was the first of his family to attend a 4-year University. In 1993 he received special recognition from the city of Los Angeles for successfully establishing and running a retail business as a teen. In 1996, Mr. Villa served as intern in the US Department of Education in Washington D.C. on White House initiative for Educational Excellence. He is a 2001 graduate of UCSB where he received his Bachelors degree in Spanish Literature and shortly after received his certificate accreditation in Business Marketing. Mr. Villa received his financial training, 7, 66, 33 and life insurance licenses while working with Morgan Stanley. Mr. Villa is currently working to attain his Certification as Financial Planner and MBA from Cal Lutheran University.

Luis Villegas- Treasurer
Luis has been on the SBHCC Board for 6 years and recently served as the org
anization's Executive Director. He is Vice President and Hispanic Segment Market Manager for Pacific Capital Bancorp. He is currently a member of the Santa Barbara City College Board of Trustees, serving as President in 1999 and 2000. He has just been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the California Community College Trustees. Villegas is also the Past President of the California Association of Latino Community College Trustees.

Bettina Lomeli - Secretary
In the course of a 4-year carrer in banking and finance, Bettina Lo
meli has earned a reputation for providing skilled and practical guidance to both her individual and business clients. Most recently, Bettina received Citibank's Regional Management Award for her outstanding work performance and commitment to client satisfaction. Bettina is a 2002 graduate of Westmont College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She currently holds her Series 6, Series 63, and Life & Health Licenses.

Emma Torres - Chair Emeritus
Emma has been with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust for 30 years currently holds the position o
f Vice President, Retail Banking Training Manager for Pacific Capital Bancorp, parent company to Santa Barbara Bank and Trust. She received the Women of Distinction award from the Girls Scouts of America in 2001, and Hispanic Woman of the year in 2005. She previously served on the board of the Goleta Education Foundation, Leadership Santa Barbara County, and advisory board for the Salvation Army.

Olivia Rodriguez - Board Member
Olivia has 
been on the SBHCC Board for five years. She earned her BA in Political Science from Loyola Marymount in LA and Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Law School in Malibu. She is an accomplished attorney and the Deputy Public Defender for Ventura County, a Community Activist, judge for Teen Court in Santa Barbara, and a mother of three.

Jane Brown - Board Member
Jane received a B.A. from Occidental College in Los Angeles, where she majored in Diplomac
y and World Affairs. She has been on the SBHCC Board for two years. She is a Public Affairs Region Manager for Southern California Edison. She is the primary contact with city officials and staff in the communities in the Greater Santa Barbara area; she also represents Edison through interaction with business leaders and non-profit organizations in these cities, and is also the media spokesperson.

Gene Morones - Board Member
Gene graduated from Santa Barbara City College and UC Santa Barbara
. Gene is a founding member of the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is also the Regional Sales Manger for the local branch of Corporate Express the nation's largest commercial office supply distributor. He has served on various boards including the local Santa Barbara YMCA, Leadership Santa Barbara and has been a past Vice President of the Bishop Diego High School Dads Booster Club.
